So excite right now, guys!!!
Oh My gosh, guys, I seriously accidentally reloaded the page and LOST MY ENTIRE UPDATE! Ugh! ... C'est la vie...
So, box number 1 of I don't even know right now arrived today! This one is from NordstromRack and I know there's one more coming, but it's just some shirts and socks, so I probably won't be posting it here. I mean comment if you want to see it, but since no one reads this anyways, I will probably keep it to myself, LMAO!
Oh My Gosh! What could be in there???? Oh, yeah, I already know, I got the shipping notice!
The Smashbox- Masterclass Create & Transform Palette, originally retails for $65 (even then a steal in the beauty community for all it contains) I picked it up for $29.97. It's available at Walmart of all places for about $57 and a few other sites as well, ranging from $29.99 up.
The Karuna 4 pack of Hydrating face masks I picked up for $12.97, can be picked up at Ulta and Sephora for about $28 if you don't like to wait for shipping. But at more than 50% off, I can (and did) wait for it to get delivered.
Lastly, I got the Purlisse Blue Lotus + Seaweed 6 count face sheet masks for $22.97. Other than ebay and a few other sites priced higher, $22.97 seems about the going rate.
Both masks above can also be purchased singularly, for about $8 a pop (WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!?!- That would mean spending $80 for all ten, I much prefer the $35.94 I spent. Much prefer)
The contents in the box are the case and a nifty little booklet explaining the product and some pretty easy to follow instructions for contouring, some eye looks, and some cool tips and tricks:
There's that manicure again! Loves it! OK, so then I cracked open the case and it's honestly really nice. It has a good weight to it, it feels high quality, and I like the magnetic closure. The film strip theme is pretty neat, too. There is a protective film between the two halves:
And my photos probably (definitely) don't do it justice, the colors are beautiful!
I was pretty surprised, at the pigment and blend-ability and over all quality. I wouldn't be mad at it if I had paid $65. In all honesty, I was a little worried about the quality in a $30 kit. I don't have a lot of experience with Smashbox Cosmetics, my spurge-y purchases have always been on Urban Decay (so basic, I should probably start drinking Pumkpin Spice Lattes at Starbuck's when they come back in the fall... I can wear VS leggings and Uggs for the trip! ugh, sorry) Back to the palette- somehow it was both bigger and smaller than I expected it to be, if that makes any sense at all. A couple of the lipsticks had "sweat" a bit, but I put that to drastic temperature changes over the shipping period, and I am not concerned about it. I did use this palette to create (an attempt at) the PHI Eye in the next post (FIBONACCI MATH EYEBALLS!) :) You can see the product in action when I get that post up. Over all I am pretty happy with it. $30 well spent in my opinion.
Thanks for visiting and have a great day!
